Mutoh brings out ValueJet 1938TX

At Itma, Mutoh is showing the new ValueJet 1938TX - a 1910mm (75in) wide, dual staggered head, direct-to-textile printer. It is also introducing ValueJet 404GT CMYK and ValueJet 405GT CMYK + White desktop direct-to-garment printers, as well as the recently announced ValueJet 1624X eco/mild-solvent printer.

The VJ-1938TX is specifically targeted at sampling short-run on-demand and local digital production. It has a head gap up to 6mm for various fabrics, front and back tensioning and take-up system for media weights up to 100kg. Suited for both closed, open non-stretch and two way stretch fabrics, the printer provides resolutions up to 1440dpi and a production speed up to 40m²/hr. It allows printing of both face-in and face-out roll media.

The machine on display at Itma will be running Mutoh’s new water-based Okotex compliant textile pigmented inks for direct printing on cotton fabrics, rayon or mixed fibre fabrics. The VJ-1938TX can also jet Mutoh’s DD-series direct disperse inks well as Mutoh DS2-series universal sublimation inks for direct printing onto polyester fabrics.
