The UK Futures Programme is now open for proposals for co-funding of up to £150,000 from employers in the manufacturing sector. The fund will invest in projects that develop, pilot, or scale out ideas and can be delivered in collaboration between employers, education providers and skill bodies, such as Proskills.

HP’s Latex Mobile application is now available for download. Unveiled last year at the SGIA show in the US, the new large-format printing mobile app offers remote monitoring of HP Latex 310, 330 and 360 printers, including job information, print status and alerts.

Kings Langley-based Projects and Print has installed the UK’s first 2.5m wide Agfa Anapurna M2500i high-speed hybrid UV-curable inkjet system. The Independent Print Industries Association’s (IPIA) chief executive Andrew Pearce has resigned. He steps down on 28 February. The IPIA Council has met to discuss the future direction of the association, and said it will be moving towards the appointment of a successor in the coming weeks. The IPIA Secretariat will operate under the direct control of the IPIA Council until that process has been completed.
