The swissQprint 2.5 x 1.6m Impala flatbed UV printer is now available with printheads that push its printing speed up to 180m2/hr. An existing Impala, in draft mode, can print up to 130m2/hr. The new printheads do away with draft mode, bringing finer resolution that will print at the higher quoted speed.

Magnetic print media manufacturer Anchor Magnets is celebrating 30 years in business by expanding its production and storage facilities to 2,787m2 via the acquisition of a new facility next to its current manufacturing base at Bankside Works in Darnall.

InPrint 2015 exhibition space has been increased by 50%. Organiser FM Brooks said strong space re-bookings, coupled with an influx of new exhibitor bookings led to 85% of the 2014 exhibition space being confirmed with 14 months to go to InPrint 2015. The next InPrint Show will take place at Messe Munich, 10-12 November 2015 alongside Productronica, a show for electronics manufacturing enabling.

Fine Print has installed a Zund G3 L-2500 cutting machine to expand the capacity of its display department, an addition viewed by Prime Minster David Cameron when he visited the Oxfordshire print company last month. 

Roger Hill has taken over as president of Contra Vision North America, managing director of Contra Vision Ltd and of Contra Vision Supplies Ltd. He replaces Roland Hill, who will remain as chairman and director of IP, Innovation and Technology.

Sweden-based Brand Factory has bought an EFI Vutek HS100 Pro high-speed flatbed and roll-fed digital press with three-quarter automation, and a Vutek GS3250lxr Pro roll-to-roll LED printer.

MTEX Technologies is throwing open the doors to its new UK showroom in Moira (on the Derbyshire/Leicestershire border) on 14 - 16 October. The company will use the site as a training and demo centre showcasing the direct-to-textile digital printing technologies.
