Viscom highlights possible practical uses of digital printing techniques

A revised ‘print design!’ presentation at Viscom in October will showcases realised examples of the many possibilities of customising interior decoration and furniture via digital print. An area, which measures about 100m2, will be furnished with exhibits that illustrate current possibilities for applying digital printing in settings such as shops, foyers, reception areas, restaurants, bars or trade fair stands. The focus is on two theme worlds: ‘multi colour’, which illustrates colour variety and brilliance, and ‘interior textures’, a display of various material motifs. 

Xanté enters large-format inkjet printer with “screaming fast” offering

Xanté has entered the wide-format inkjet printer market with the 42in Excelagraphix 4200, based on Memjet Waterfall printhead technology to deliver “screaming fast speeds at a price point that’s affordable for a fast ROI”. Graph Expo in the US was the launchpad for the printer which Frank Romano, RIT Professor Emeritus, has hailed as “a glimpse of printing’s viable future.”

Mimaki to introduce textile printers at ITMA 2011

Visitors to textile machinery exhibition ITMA in Barcelona at the end of this month will get an early preview of new textile and apparel solutions from Mimaki, which include two textile inkjet printer prototypes, a textile pigment ink specially designed for the Tx-400 Series printers, and a new textile Rip. Mimaki will also demonstrate the APC-130, a large-format cutting plotter for textile patterns that enables continuous plotting and cutting in one step.
