MTEX Solutions launches more textile printers

MTEX Solutions is introducing two printers at Viscom Frankfurt later this week: the Vision aimed at the transfer print market, and the Blue entry level direct-to-textile digital printer. The Vision is available now and can be seen at MTEX’s Technical Training Centre in Portugal, and the Blue will be available for shipping from January 2015 with pre-orders being taken at the show.

The 1.85m MTEX Vision enables printing onto stretch fabrics (via an adhesive belt carrier system) with print and fix as one process. There are four- or eight-colour options and output quality is up to 1200dpi. The machine, which incorporates Ricoh Gen 5 printheads, is available with a pigment ink set for polycotton/natural fibre fabrics and direct disperse inks for polyester. There are built-in heated drums calendars for ink fixation. An MTEX Rip with integrated touchscreen controls comes as standard.

The MTEX Blue is 1.6m wide and uses Epson DX 7 printheads heads for output at 1440dpi. The four-colour, roll-to-roll machine uses direct disperse inks and has built-in heat fixation. It too comes with a MTEX Rip.

The new entrants follow hot on the heels of the 3.2m wide MTEX 5032 and MTEX 5032Pro and the pre- and post- fabric treatment machines launched at Fespa earlier this year.
