New Streamline ESL HPQ inks are the first inkjet products to use Sun Chemical’s low odour chemistry. They have been developed for the Roland Soljet Pro 2, Pro 3 and VersaCamm printers and are said to be compatible with printers from Mutoh, Agfa and Uniform along with other eco-solvent inkjet printers using Epson DX 4 through to DX 7 piezo inkjet printheads.

The marketing programme for Fespa 2015 has kicked off, calling for print service providers to ‘Discover Your Universe of Print’. The event, which will be held in Cologne, will run 18-22 May next year and occupy 62,500m2 of exhibition space in the new north halls of KoelnMesse, making it the largest Fespa Global Expo. 

The Print Show has been launched by Link Exhibitions. The inaugural event will take place 13-15 October next year, at the NEC. 

Tismo Products BV, based in The Netherlands, has rapidly been setting new trends when it comes to industrial print personalisation, thanks to their investment in an Acuity Advance Select wide format printer with Uvijet KV inks, and the creative forward-thinking of Hendre Vos and co-owner Jeroen Maessen. 

Fespa’s fourth Digital Textile Conference, which took place on 2 October 2014 in Milan, brought together 157 delegates, more than double the number that attended the last Fespa Digital Textile Conference in Hamburg in 2011. 

Adam Bourn Creative has taken the Wide Format Project of the Year gong at the BSGA British Sign Awards. The company took the accolade for its ‘One Commercial Street’ job that required the comparatively small operation to produce over 1150m2 of self adhesive vinyl and install it at a development of retail, commercial and residential properties in the City of London. 

Callprint, which created standalone business Jupiter Visual Communications in June to focus on the management of large-scale projects in the live events, retail, sports, transport and property sectors, has appointed a new retail and commercial team to spearhead growth at the operation. 

MTEX Solutions is introducing two printers at Viscom Frankfurt later this week: the Vision aimed at the transfer print market, and the Blue entry level direct-to-textile digital printer. The Vision is available now and can be seen at MTEX’s Technical Training Centre in Portugal, and the Blue will be available for shipping from January 2015 with pre-orders being taken at the show. 

The BPIF has voiced its concern to company credit report supplier Creditsafe with regard to the impact on many UK printing companies of the recent upgrade to their credit ratings model. 

EFI is continuing its acquisition run with the purchase of key intellectual property assets for digital inkjet printing of thermoformed products from Polymeric Imaging, a provider of UV and LED inks for graphic arts and industrial applications.
